1:3b: Symptomatic Interpretation of Words
ABIBLIOPHOBIA - the fear of running out of things to read.
ALLOLALIA - speech disorder featuring randomly spoken words
ANOMIA - a difficulty in finding the right words or the inability to remember names
APHASIA - partial or total loss of the ability to articulate ideas or comprehend spoken or written language, usually due to damage inflicted on the brain by injury or disease.
COLYGRAPHIA - means writers block.
COPROLALIA - uncontrolled, excessive use of obscene or scatological language, sometimes accompanying certain mental disorders.
DONTOPEDALOGY - the aptitude for putting one's foot in one's mouth.
DYSGRAPHIA - impairment of the ability to write, usually caused by brain dysfunction or disease.
DYSLALIA - impairment of the ability to speak due to defective speech organs.
DYSLEXIA - a learning disorder distinguished by impaired ability to recognize and comprehend written words.
DYSPROSODY - speech impairment characterized by a loss of control of intonation and rhythm.
EMBOLOLALIA - interpolation of meaningless sounds or words into speech. mogigraphia
writing with difficulty.
HADEHARIA - constant use of the word “hell”
HIPPOPOTOMONSTROSESQUIPPEDALIOPHOBIA - the fear of long words.
LARGILOQUENT - talkative; full of words
LETHOLOGICA - when you can’t think of a word for something
LOGANAMNOSIS - refers to the mania for trying to recall a forgotten word.
LOGOCENTRISM - obsession with the word.
LOGORRHEA - excessive and often incoherent talkativeness or wordiness
LOGOMISIA - disgust or hatred of particular words.
MALAPROPISM - misapplication of words without mispronunciation
MOGILALIA - speaking with difficulty.
MONOLOGOPHOBIA - compulsive avoidance of repetition.
MULTILOQUENCE - talkativeness; use of many words
ONOMATOMANIA - irresistible desire to repeat certain words
ONOMATOPHOBIA - fear of hearing a certain word
PALILALIA - disorder characterized by rapid repetition of words
PARAGRAPHIA - writing of different letters and words than intended
PARAMNESIA - abnormality of memory; inability to remember meaning of word
PARAPHASIA - disorder in which one word substituted for another

- Abibliophobia: Fear of running out of reading matter.
- Agentophobia: Fear of literary agents.
- Allodoxaphobia: Fear of opinions.
- Amazophobia: Fear of bad reviews.
- Anthropophobia: Fear of people
- Atelophobia: Fear of imperfection.
- Bibliophobia: Fear of books.
- Catagelophobia or katagelophobia: Fear of being ridiculed.
- Cyberphobia: Fear of computers
- Deuterophobia: Fear that your second book won’t be anywhere near as good as your first. Also the fear of long and difficult books of the Bible.
- Drosmartoiphobia: Fear of dropping your cellphone down the toilet.
- Enterophobia: Fear of the hitting the send button on an email.
- Ergophobia: Fear of work.
- Expensivetechophobia: Fear of paying for an expensive technology you have little or no knowledge about
- Expiraphobia: Fear of forgetting to renew a domain name and it expires.
- FOMO: Fear of missing out (related to social media)
- Foransequephobia: Fear of forgetting the answer to your secret question.
- Formaspassphobia: Fear of forgetting your master password.
- Glossophobia: Fear of public speaking.
- Gnosiophobia: Fear of knowledge.
- Graphophobia: Fear of handwriting.
- Hypegiaphobia: Fear of responsibility
- Ideophobia: Fear of ideas.
- Interophobia: Fear of the internet.
- Kakorrhaphiaphobi: Fear of failure.
- Logophobia: Fear of words.
- Metrophobia: Fear of poetry.
- Mythophobia: Fear of myths and mythology.
- Neophobia: Fear of new things.
- Nointernetophobia: Fear of not having access to the internet.
- Nomophobia: Fear of being without a mobile device
- Onomatophobia: Fear of names.
- Papyrophobia: Fear of paper.
- Philosophobia: Fear of philosophy.
- Phobiaphobia: Fear of fear itself.
- Phronemophobia: Fear of thinking.
- Plagiarophobia: Fear of plagiarism. Of stealing your idea.
- Publiophobia:!Fear of being published.
- Redinkophobia: Fear of editors, editing, and marked-up manuscripts.
- SASEphobia : Fear of rejection.
- Scriptophobia: Fear of writing in public.
- Sesquipedalophobia: Fear of long words.
- Sophophobia: Fear of learning.
- Symbolophobia: Fear of figurative and symbolic ideas.
- Technophobia: Fear of technology
- Telephonophobia: Fear of the telephone.
- Tropophobia: Fear of making changes.
PLEONASM - use of a superfluity of words, often deliberately, for emphasis. "I've never seen anything more obscene in all my 80 years on this Earth."
PSITTACISM - parrot-like repetition in speech
SCRABBLEMENT - the writing of a rambling character likeii that of a madman.
SESQUIPEDALIAN - someone who overuses long words in order to appear smart.
SEMANTICSATIATION - when you say or read a word so many times it stops making sense.
SHTURMOVSHCHINA - refers to the practice of writing frantically just before a deadline.
SYMBOLOPHOBIA - the fear of symbolism.
SYNAESTHESIA - brain disorder characterized by a cross-referencing of senses: for example, sounds might be "seen" and colors might be "heard."
SYNALOEPHA - omitting one of two vowels, one of which occurs at the end of one word and the other of which occurs at the beginning of the next word; a type of metaplasm. "Th'other," a shortening of "the other."
SYNCHYSIS - confused arrangement of words in a sentence, either by accident or on purpose; an extreme instance of hyperbaton or anastrophe.
VERBALISM - undue attention to words alone
VERBICIDE - the killing of a word or the distortion of its original meaning,
VERBIGERATION - the habit of frequently repeating favorite words or expressions.
VERBOSE - using too many words to convey a thought.
WITZELSUCHT - a mental disorder characterized by the making of poor jokes and puns and the telling of pointless stories and usually caused by lesions on the frontal lobe.
